About THE PAPER PULLER
The Paper Puller, Inc. is a small family owned company with humble beginnings that was started in 1992 by Dominic Marino. Before The Paper Puller’s formation, Dominic worked for the Cleaning Connection.
One day in a flooded house as they removed all the water damaged walls, carpet and furniture, the homeowner decided he wanted to update the rest of his house and hired them to remove the wallpaper. Dominic had experience removing wallpaper when he lived in California and was happy to tackle the job. From there, Dominic decided to start his own company in wallpaper removal.
Armed with some business cards and a couple of realtor referrals, The Paper Puller is built to what it is today, a well-known and highly trusted business in Lincoln, Nebraska and surrounding areas. Over the past 25 years The Paper Puller has stripped and repaired walls and ceilings in thousands of houses, made hundreds of business contacts, and found dozens of friends.
Of course Dominic didn’t do all this on his own. He had the support of his family to help him during hard and busy times. His wife and son worked part time on some of the jobs in The Paper Puller’s early beginnings. Now, they are both working full time in their disciplines. His son, Antonio, does the wallpaper removal, wall preparation, lead-base paint safety, and overall operations. His wife, Sandy, does the office work and finances.
Looking forward to spending time riding his motorcycle and enjoying life, Dominic has been preparing Antonio to take over the business and continue The Paper Puller’s history of pride and excellence in every job they do.
Dominic Marino
Dominic Marino, President of The Paper Puller Inc., was born in Sicily and served one year in the Italian Army. While serving his country he met his wife, Sandy, a Storekeeper in the US Navy. After their marriage, Dominic moved with his wife to the U.S. while she continued her military career. Dominic has worked from a young age in different jobs, always finding work wherever the Navy sent them. That work ethic stayed with him over the years and was passed on to their two kids. When Dominic and his family settled in Lincoln Nebraska, he started his own business. Now The Paper Puller Inc. is one of the most trusted names in home and office remodeling. When not pulling paper, he can be found riding his motorcycle or playing with his granddaughter.
Sandy Marino
Sandy Marino, Secretary / Treasure of The Paper Puller Inc., originally from Iowa, joined the Navy after high school and has traveled the world in over 20 years of service. While stationed in Italy she met Dominic, a truck driver for the Italian Army. They got married and transferred back to the States. Sandy continued her military career ending in Lincoln Nebraska. While stationed at the NROTC at UNL, Sandy continued her degree in Family Sciences. After retiring from the Navy and graduating from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, she worked at a couple of jobs before finding her place at Fresh Start Home. She now splits her days at The Paper Puller, Inc., working at Fresh Start, play dates with her granddaughter, volunteering, and traveling.
Antonio Marino
Antonio Marino, Marketing and Operations Manager of The Paper Puller, Inc., the son of Dominic and Sandy has been full-time with the company since 2003. After graduating from Lincoln Northeast High School, he enlisted in the Marines, working up to the rank of corporal. He graduated from Southeast Community College with a degree in marketing which he uses every day in the day-to-day operations with scheduling, estimates, marketing, and of course the work in paper removal & wall preparation. Outside of that, Antonio enjoys time with his wife & daughter and involvement with the Nebraska Marine Corps League. He sees growth in the company’s future while keeping a personal customer experience.
